December Scorcher

Latest Updates:

6pm Friday Dec 2nd – Online entries are now closed – we have nearly 300 registrations for Sunday

Late Entries:
There are 20 late entry spots available for this weekend, spots are available on first come first served.
Late entries On Saturday must be paid by cash (there are no credit card facilities available at registration) – and the nearest ATMs are at the Kilbirnie Shops, 800m away

Road & weather conditions:

  • Checking the roads, our main concern currently is the roads work being carried out between Princess Bay and Houghton Bay below The Pines (they are redoing the seawall below the road / footpath) – this only affects the Long course participants. The road will be full width, but it is a 30kph zone both directions – as per normal remember to obey the road rules!
  • Weather forecast for Sunday: Cloudy with a fresh breeze (from the North), showers developing from midday.  This means flat sheltered swim, quick bike from Transition and an exposed run north – Post race make sure you have some warm clothes available.

See you at Registration!

Event Date:

Sunday December 4th, 2011

Event Location:

Scorching Bay, Wellington

What are the special actions this weekend?

This is the Xmas & the Beach Scorcher, so be prepared for:

  • Santa
  • Ruldoph
