Jan Scorcher results
What a day.
Unfortunately our weather angels weren’t immune to the weather bomb that hit NZ over the past 48 hours – and as a result we made the decision to modify today’s course to a run only event.
No event organiser can change the weather, it is what it is, and it is a simple reailty of life. However an event organiser should always best manage the weather situation to ensure the safety of all involved in the event – which is what we had to do today, and is why we made the decision we had to, to ensure the safety of all course participants, marshalls, & crew.
Thank you to all who worked with us as we evaluated the course safety this morning, your support, understanding and words of encouragement mean a lot – and if we didn’t have that support we’d probably start questioning why it is, that we do this crazy little thing called ‘triathlon’.
For those that did hang around and complete the run, I think you’ll agree it was a very cool vibe out there on course. And hopefully too, you were all well rewarded with very good Spot Prize Odds! Special Mention to our ‘100% Welly’ winner, #212 who came dressed in her specially designed Wearable Arts costume. A standout winner!
Last mention also to our Wellington Mayor, Celia Wade-Brown, who attended this event and took part in the modified course option. A true leader in action – great to have you part of our event series & would love to have you back again when the sun is shining.
Please find below the results from today
If there are any errors you notice in the results â?? please drop us an email – we think we got everyone in the run option they intended, please let us know if we haven’t though
Thank you all again
The Angels

Hi Angel
Just to let you know that I got missed on the results for the 15km run, may have been because I didn’t go into the club room pre the run to register but I didn’t think I needed to as I was entered into the long Triathon.
I placed fifth finishing after Gav Champion, 45-49 age group, Male, Race number 72, time 1hr 1min 23 sec.
Enjoyed the run, look foward to the next full triathon in February!!
Cheers
Stephen
